Sensibilizzazione alla lettura: tra libro cartaceo e digitale

Da oltre dieci anni, si discute della differenza tra libro cartaceo ed e-book. In verità rappresentano due modi differenti di approcciarsi alla lettura. Alcune ricerche hanno dimostrato che la lettura su schermo è più veloce e meno lineare, mentre il cartaceo permette di approfondire meglio un testo complesso. E’ stato dimostrato che    cambia il nostro modo di ricordare le informazioni a seconda della lettura su schermo o su carta. Capiamo allora quali sono le differenze del libro digitale e del libro cartaceo, soprattutto per ciò che concerne le modalità di fruizione ed evidenziare le potenzialità di ciascun mezzo. In questo senso sarà fondamentale l’incontro con il pubblico per raccogliere le richieste di approfondimento e le principali necessità in quanto lettori. La presentazione dell’argomento sarà supportata dalla proiezione di slide, immagini ed esempi a sostegno delle teorie presentate dai relatori.

Awareness-Raising on Reading: Between Print and Digital Books

For more than ten years, the differences between print books and e-books have been widely discussed. In truth, they represent two different ways of approaching reading. Some studies have shown that reading on a screen is faster and less linear, while print allows for a deeper engagement with complex texts. It has also been demonstrated that the way we remember information changes depending on whether we read on a screen or on paper. This meeting will help us to understand the main differences between digital and print books, especially in terms of how they are used, and to highlight the potential of each medium. Equally important will be the exchange with the audience, in order to gather requests for further exploration and to understand readers’ main needs. The presentation will be accompanied by slides, images, and examples to illustrate and support the theories presented by the speakers.
