Il testo narra di Adelasia che nel secolo XIII, nel medioevo giudicale, fu giudicessa di Torres e per via del matrimonio con Enzo, il figlio dell’imperatore Federico II di Svevia, divenne anche regina di Sardegna. In quel periodo storico Genovesi e Pisani controllavano i porti dell’isola a protezione delle incursioni arabe e pian piano si insediarono anche nei posti di potere. È un racconto basato su personaggi ed eventi realmente accaduti. L’autore interviene con la narrazione a colmare il vuoto delle fonti.

The Book
The text tells the story of Adelasia who, in the 13th century during the Giudicale Middle Ages, was Judikissa of Torres and, through her marriage to Enzo, son of Emperor Frederick II of Swabia, also became Queen of Sardinia. In that historical period, Genoese and Pisans controlled the island’s ports to protect against Arab incursions and gradually established themselves in positions of power. It is a narrative based on real characters and events, with the author intervening to fill the gaps left by the sources.
