Mauro Biglino (Torino, 1950) è un saggista e traduttore italiano. Cultore di storia delle religioni, specializzatosi nella traduzione dall’ebraico antico, ha tradotto dal testo masoretico diciannove libri della Bibbia per le Edizioni San Paolo. Ha pubblicato diversi libri, fra cui i bestseller La Bibbia non parla di Dio (Mondadori, 2015) e Il Falso Testamento (Mondadori, 2016). Dopo la breve esperienza presso Edizioni Paoline, negli anni 2010 inizia a sostenere, divulgare e sviluppare alcune idee di natura pseudoscientifica e pseudostorica, la cosiddetta teoria degli antichi astronauti, un preesistente insieme di credenze prive di riscontri, secondo cui nell’antichità sarebbero giunti sulla Terra degli extraterrestri intelligenti. Queste attività gli sono valse un crescente successo mediatico, editoriale e sul web. Dal 2022 pubblica alcuni articoli anche sull’edizione cartacea della rivista svizzera di paleoastronautica Sagenhaften zeiten diretta da Erich von Däniken.

Mauro Biglino (Turin, 1950) is an Italian essayist and translator. A scholar of religious history, specialising in translations from ancient Hebrew, he has translated nineteen books of the Bible from the Masoretic text for Edizioni San Paolo. He has published several books, including the bestsellers La Bibbia non parla di Dio (Mondadori, 2015) and Il Falso Testamento (Mondadori, 2016). After a brief stint at Edizioni Paoline, in the 2010s he began to support, disseminate and develop certain pseudoscientific and pseudo-historical ideas, the so-called ancient astronaut theory, a pre-existing set of unsubstantiated beliefs according to which intelligent extraterrestrials arrived on Earth in ancient times. These activities have earned him growing success in the media, publishing and on the web. Since 2022, he has also published several articles in the print edition of the Swiss paleoastronautics magazine Sagenhaften zeiten, edited by Erich von Däniken.
